Hi, my name is Leonard Hall. I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). More specifically, I am enthusiastic about the positive change process in people’s lives and their relationships. I graduated from Wilmington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and continued to obtain a Master of Science degree in Administration of Justice (focus on abnormal psychology).
I have over 20 years of experience conducting both individual sessions and group therapy, and I have provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient mental health/substance use disorder facilities, community outpatient mental health agencies, residential correctional facilities, case management with the State of Delaware and agencies in the private sector. I specialize in collaborating with adults struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and advocate for utilizing healthcare, community, and online resources to assist you in establishing and maintaining your recovery goals. I am experienced in using cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing techniques to address relapse prevention, anger management, problem-solving, improving self-care, and developing and using a sober support system to assist you in achieving your recovery goals.
I know from my years of helping individuals with mental health and substance use disorder issues that you can make significant changes in your life. If you are ready to do the work, you will be amazed at how capable you are of exploring parts of yourself you never knew existed. The process of therapy can allow you to grow more quickly than you ever have before.
Each one of us can be fulfilled in our lives. If you are ready to explore what is getting in your way and want to figure out what to do next, I would be humbled to support you in navigating your New Beginning process.
I look forward to working with you
